Birthday Explosion Card

If you are looking for a card that gives that WOW factor, this Explosion Card is the perfect choice. From the outside it looks like a simple card, surprising the recipient on opening. Explosion cards look impressive but are surprisingly fun and easy to make and are suitable for any occasion.

Card base – 8″ x 5-3/4″ Scored on long side at 4″ (20.2cm x 14.6cm Scored at 10.1cm)
Card Layer – 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ (9.5cm x 14cm)
Patterned Paper Layer – 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ (8.9cm x 13.3cm)
Explosion Mechanism Patterned Paper – 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (14cm x 14cm) Scored diagonally in half, then at 2-3/4″ (7cm) on two straight edges. Fold and burnish the score lines. See video for more detail.
White Card Layer – 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (6.3cm x 6.3cm) 2 off

I love the simple stamping on the front of this card. The big, bold sentiment takes centre stage with balloons either side. Using Blends to coordinate the balloons with the card and paper colours ties it all together. Wink of Stella Glitter pen gives that bit of sparkle because no card is complete without some sparkle!
