Double Centre Gate Fold Card

New today is my tutorial showing how to make a Double Centre Gate Fold card. There are various types of Gate Fold cards to make but this is the first time I’ve made this style. You can use any patterned paper and either white or coordinating cardstock. I love the Kintsugi Inspirations papers and this card shows off this pattern well.

measurements

Card Base – 5-3/4″ x 4″ (14.5cm x 10cm)
Folding Card – 11″ x 4″ Scored at 2, 3-3/4, 7-1/4 & 9″ ( 28cm x 10cm scored at 5, 9.5, 18 & 23cm)
Cardstock Layer – 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (6.3 x 6.3cm)
White Layer – 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ (5.7 x 5.7cm)
Inside White Layer – 3-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ (9.5 x 8.2cm)
Patterned Paper – 3-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ (9.5 x 4.4cm) X 2 off (check orientation of pattern!)
Patterned Paper – 3-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ (9.5 x 3.2cm) X 2 off (check orientation of pattern)

Tip for cutting the patterned paper for this double centre gate fold card! Cut a length at 3-3/4″ (9.5cm), then cut 1 off 3-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ (9.5 x 4.4cm), 1 off 3-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ (9.5 x 3.2cm). Keeping the pieces in order, then cut another 3-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ (9.5 x 4.4cm), 1 off 3-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ (9.5 x 3.2cm). This will allow the pattern to match and flow.

This card can be jazzed up for a special occasion, adding die cuts, embossing, ribbons and more bling.
