With Christmas fast approaching I wanted to design a candle gift box that is quick and easy to make. I already had the candles and thought they would make great little presents especially in a lovely gift box, ideal if you give to teachers, TAs etc. The insert is optional, giving a great little box for other small gifts such as chocolates and jewellery.

The candle gift box measures 3″ x 3″, or 7.6cm x 7.6cm, and has an insert to hold the candle in place. The box is easily scaled up or down to alter the size.

I’ve used the Joyful 12 x 12″ Speciality Designer Paper (161980) from Stampin’ Up! and coordinating cardstock in Cherry Cobbler (121681).

Measurements:

Base – cardstock – 7″ x 7″ (17.8cm x 17.8cm)
Score at 2″ (5.1cm) on all sides
Lid – Designer Series Paper – 5″ x 5″ (12.7cm x 12.7cm)
Score at a smidgen under 1″ (2.4cm) on all sides
Insert – cardstock – 2-15/16″ x 7-1/8″ (4.9cm x 18.1cm)
Score at 2-15/16″, 3-7/16″, 6-3/8″, 6-7/8″ (4.9cm, 8.8cm, 15.7cm, 17.4cm)
On 2-15/16″ side (4.9cm), opposite end to the smaller scored sections, die cut a circle in the centre for the candle to sit in. I used the Deckled Circle Dies, 4th smallest (162286).
