New on my blog today is this Christmas gift box. While I designed this for a candle, it is the perfect size for many other gifts. It measures 2.5″w x 2.5″d x 3″h (5cm x 5cm x 7.5cm approx). I’m using the gorgeous Modern Christmas Speciality Designer Series Papers from Stampin’ Up! The black, white and gold theme will work with any colour card. I added ribbon to hold the lid on and for that added luxury feel.
This Christmas Gift Box was one of the projects at a recent card class, along with stamping on a candle. All attendees had great fun learning how to stamp on a candle with much chatter about whether they would keep or gift it. While the box and candle looked quite complicated, all were surprised at how easy they were to make. I love showing other ways to use Stampin’ Up! products, getting more for your money than just card making.

Real Red Box Base – 10-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Scored on long side at 2.5, 5. 7.5 and 10″, turn & score on short side at 2-1/2″ (26.7cm x 14cm Scored at 6.4cm, 12.7cm, 19cm & 25.5cm, turn & score on short side at 6.4cm)
Patterned Paper Lid – 4.5″ x 4.5″ Score at just under 1″ on all four sides. (11.5cm x 11.5cm Score at 2.5cm on all four sides)
