My latest video shows how quick and easy it is to make stunning Sunflower Cards. The Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder from Stampin’ Up! is a must have for anyone who likes sunflowers. The detail is amazing and makes beautiful card fronts. In this video I am using two-tone cardstock, the embossing folder and ink pads demonstrating a real WOW technique. This is so easy to do and really makes the sunflower detail ‘pop’. Whether you are a traditional colour fan or like more unusual combo’s this is a great technique for experimenting. You will get inky fingers but you can wear vinyl gloves if you prefer.
While I didn’t make sunflower cards during my video, I have included some photos below of my finished cards.
Finished cards
Using the embossed and debossed images (raised or indented sides) creates totally different looks. As you can see in the blue/green and yellow cards, the ink touches the raised areas of the cardstock.
Adding a Foil layer elevates the card and adds to it’s elegance. I use Gold Foil with the oranges, reds and yellows and Silver Foil with the blues and greens.
