Sometimes we need quick and easy cards, today was one of those times! Patterned paper and Hexagon Punch, some cardstock and ink is all you need to make these fun cards. You can add some ribbon and bling if you wish.
As it is November and cold here in the UK, Christmas cards with snowflakes and penguins seem appropriate. I’ve just been to Cyprus, where temperatures ranged 25 – 28c, getting a good dose of vitamin D. While I knew it was going to be a shock coming back to the cold, it’s the gloomy grey that I find hard. The Snowy Scenes patterned paper is adorable with lots of gorgeous papers to choose from. This style of card is great, allowing you to use multiple patterns.
The second card in my video is using the very popular Reindeer Days patterned paper. I love the bright, traditional colours and the cutesy reindeer teamed with holly, trees and lights.
While I’m using Christmas patterned paper and hexagon punch, this type of card is suitable for any occasion. Other shaped punches or even dies can be used to create a similar effect, leaving a small gap between each piece of paper. Adding a gold layer behind the pattern elevates the card to the next level.
