Today’s Facebook Live initially talks about the new two-tone cardstock and how you can use it with the embossing folders. The stamp set is the Yuletide Village from Stampin’ Up! It’s great for Christmas cards with it’s snowy images, especially the church.
There are a number of options for making a snow background. The Yuletide Village stamp set has a ‘snowy’ stamp which looks amazing heat embossed. You could also use the large background stamp, Falling Snow, found on page 56 of the mini. The third option is using the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder and Two-tone cardstock. This is the option I chose and then lightly sanded over the embossed pattern with my nail file! I will invest in a sand block but for now the file works just as well. The two-tone cardstock is new, part of the Scrapbook range, has a white core and two shades of the colour. By sanding gently over the embossed layer, you remove some of the colour, letting the white show through. It does create a little dust which is easily cleaned up.
In my video you can see some of the colours available. To see all current colours visit my online store or view the Digital Scrapbook Brochure.
